Job summary

Key Stage Teacher Supply is recruiting a proactive Primary Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1/2 class in a BB3 Darwen area school. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:15pm, focusing on pupils with ASD/ADHD within the KS1 curriculum.

You will assist with lesson delivery, encourage engagement, and help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment while safeguarding pupils’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based desirable).
  • Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting.
  • Understanding of KS1 curriculum and adapting for learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, proactive and supportive approach.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

Job description

One of our local community primary schools in the BB3 Darwen area, is looking to recruit a proactive and supportive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming team, this role is to support on a 1:1 basis in a Year 1/2 class within ASD and ADHD support needs, the pupil is working to the KS1 curriculum. This is a full time position, Monday to Friday 830am to 315pm. The school has a strong focus on inclusive learning and pupil development, with a supportive staff team and a positive learning environment, making it an excellent opportunity for a Primary Teaching Assistant looking to develop their experience in a school setting.

Primary Teaching Assistant role requirements:
