Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Burnley is seeking a Learning Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Years 3 and 4, contributing to their academic, social and emotional development. You will work closely with class teachers to create a positive learning environment where every child can thrive.

The role runs 8.30am–3.30pm, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £14.25–£15 per hour. The successful candidate will have KS2 experience and a TA qualification or be willing to undertake training.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with primary-aged children in KS2.
  • Passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Excellent communication skills with pupils, parents and staff.
  • Willingness to undertake appropriate training if needed.

  • Support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning within the classroom.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assist pupils with varying learning needs, ensuring all children can access the curriculum.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.
  • Help prepare and organise learning resources and classroom displays.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and pastoral development.
  • Contribute to assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
  • Assist with educational visits, school activities, and extracurricular opportunities as required.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals where appropriate.

Salary: £14.25 - £15 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
