Job summary

St Augustine Academy in Maidstone is seeking a reliable Lettings Assistant to help manage our community lettings programme. The casual role offers evenings, weekends and school holidays work, with flexible hours and on-site presence.

You will welcome hirers, conduct viewings, inspect facilities, check in/out, prepare spaces, maintain cleanliness, handle basic enquiries, and provide admin support to the Lettings Supervisor. A safeguarding‑minded, customer‑focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience or willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised and reliable with good attention to detail.
• Flexible and able to work evenings, weekends and school holidays.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming hirers and visitors to the academy.
• Conducting viewings of academy facilities.
• Carrying out site inspections before and after lettings.
• Checking customers in and out of the academy.
• Preparing facilities for community use.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the site.
• Responding to basic enquiries from existing and prospective hirers.
• Undertaking general administrative tasks to support the lettings function.
• Reporting any site, maintenance or health and safety concerns as appropriate.
• Supporting the Lettings Supervisor with the smooth operation of academy lettings.
