Job summary

Aureus School is seeking a reliable Premises Assistant to manage weekend lettings, provide a lettings reception service to third party users, and undertake basic maintenance of the school's buildings and grounds. The role is part-time (13 hours/week), Saturdays and Sundays 9am–4pm, term time only, with focus on health and safety compliance and responsive problem-solving.

You will unlock sites for events, report defects, and contribute to a positive school environment while working within the GLF

Responsibilities

• Provide a flexible, responsive and helpful lettings reception service to all third party users of the school’s facilities, ensuring high standards of customer care at all times.
• Unlock the school site and relevant facilities and buildings required for third party use
• Have good awareness of Health and Safety
• Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, promptly and accurately report any defects or hazards identified in the school premises and equipment.
• Be able to work to their own initiative
• Be capable of carrying our basic maintenance and DIY tasks
• Have good oral and written communication skills
• Have knowledge of building maintenance works (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, electrical etc.)
• Be keen to contribute positively to the life of a school
