Job summary

St Augustine Academy in Maidstone is seeking a practical, reliable Facilities Assistant to join our busy site team. This part-time role offers family-friendly hours, with 25 hours per week (Mon-Fri 10am-3pm during term time, 8am-1pm in school holidays).

Qualifications

• This is a part-time role with family friendly hours.
• You will cover security, repairs and maintenance, cleaning, porterage and general duties of this kind associated with the maintenance of the site.
• You will play an important role in creating a safe, clean and inspiring environment for students, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Opening and securing the academy buildings
• Carrying out basic repairs, decoration and maintenance tasks
• Supporting health and safety and compliance checks
• Setting up rooms and facilities for academy and community events
• Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the site
• Assisting with deliveries, porterage and waste management
• Monitoring heating, lighting and water systems
• Supporting the Site Manager with projects and improvements across the academy
