Job summary

West-Norfolk's Alive Downham Leisure Centre in Downham Market is seeking a full-time Duty Officer to help run a busy community facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

You will supervise staff, assist with rotas, training and performance, and uphold health and safety standards while contributing to income control and the smooth running of daily activities.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience or leadership role in a leisure/fitness environment.
• Strong communication skills and a focus on customer care.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in a public facility.
• Willingness to complete/maintain NPLQ and related lifesaving certificates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day management of the leisure centre.
• Supervise, support and motivate staff; contribute to training and performance.
• Assist with rotas, operational procedures and customer care delivery.
• Oversee health and safety, income/expenditure, and smooth running of activities.
