West Lothian Leisure in Bathgate is seeking a Duty Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the leisure centre, ensuring a safe, welcoming and efficient environment for all customers. You will supervise staff, manage customer inquiries, handle health and safety protocols, and ensure activities and facilities run smoothly.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays, with opportunities to contribute to events and improve customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a leisure centre.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols in a public facility.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to supervise and motivate a team.
• Willingness to work flexible evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Desire for fitness, sport and recreation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise leisure centre staff to maintain high service standards.
• Oversee day-to-day operations including poolside and fitness areas.
• Ensure health and safety compliance with regular risk assessments.
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and requests professionally.
• Assist staff training and development.
• Monitor facilities and equipment for safety and cleanliness.
• Support events and activities at the centre.
• Promote a friendly atmosphere to maximise customer satisfaction.
