Job summary

Places for People in the UK is looking for a Duty Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the leisure centre, lead shifts and ensure staffing levels and customer service are to a high standard.

You will work with colleagues across the centre, supervise health and safety compliance, respond to concerns, manage incidents and support recruitment and development of frontline staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold NPLQ or FAW qualification.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Experience supervising teams in leisure, hospitality, retail or customer-facing environments.
• Experience in health and safety, incident response or operational compliance.
• Experience handling customer enquiries in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient day-to-day operation of the leisure centre.
• Lead operational teams on shifts and maintain staffing levels.
• Ensure safety, customer service and site presentation standards.
• Oversee health and safety compliance and incident response.
• Support recruitment and development of frontline staff.
• Maintain accurate records and complete operational administration.
