Job summary

Leisure Solutions Community Trust is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the leisure centre, creating a safe, welcoming environment for customers of all ages. You will support colleagues, maintain high standards and ensure programmes run smoothly to help more people stay active and healthy.

The role requires experience in leisure/hospitality/retail management, lifeguard background with supervisory experience, and strong health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leisure, hospitality or retail management.
• Lifeguard background with supervisor experience.
• Strong health and safety leadership skills.
• Commercial awareness and customer service focus.
• Excellent communication and people management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead on health, safety and quality, ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Drive commercial performance by supporting sales activity and member retention.
• Oversee daily operations, including opening/closing the centre and rotas.
• Monitor facility standards, cleanliness and presentation.
• Coach and develop colleagues to ensure consistent performance.
• Act as a visible leader, respond to feedback and community needs.
• Support Lifeguarding duties as required.
