Job summary

Horizon Leisure Centres in Waterlooville is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee daily operations and deliver a first-class customer experience. You will lead the Duty Management Team and report to the General Manager, driving engagement, safety and service standards.

The role requires 2+ years of management experience in leisure or similar settings, strong people skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. The position is based at Waterlooville with travel to other sites as needed.

Qualifications

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or willingness to undertake.
• First Aid at Work – desirable.
• Pool Plant Operator – desirable.
• RLSS Trainer Assessor – desirable.

Responsibilities

• Use the Horizon HELLO in all customer interactions.
• Provide effective leadership and management of the Operations Teams, keeping your team engaged, motivated and informed and operating in line with our values.
• Ensure a first-class customer experience is delivered to all visitors.
• Be proactive in ensuring the safety and cleanliness and set up of the facilities and equipment; identifying and responding to situations as they arise and escalating issues as required.
• Carry out the induction and training of new starters and the development of existing team members.
• Conduct a programme of performance management including managing 121.s absence, conduct, performance and continuous development.
• With direction from the General Manager implement opportunities for improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager
