Job summary

The Manchester Deansgate Hotel, part of the IHG Hotels and Resorts family, is seeking a dedicated Leisure Attendant to enhance guest experiences in the Health Club. You will respond to queries, uphold Health and Safety standards and help run the leisure facilities ensuring a hygienic, welcoming environment for all guests.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2 Pool Lifeguard/Pool Responder and Level 2 Fitness qualifications (beneficial), plus a passion for service and a team-driven attitude.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices and maintaining a hygienic environment.
• Experiences in Health Club/Leisure environments, ideally in a hotel.

Responsibilities

• Support the guest experience in the Health Club, answer queries and assist with facilities for a smooth operation.
• Ensure fitness areas are clean, safe and well-presented for guests.
• Contribute to delivering extremely personal experiences and human connection with guests.

As a Leisure Attendant, your main duties and responsibilities will be supporting the overall guest experience in our Health Club through answering guest queries; being knowledgeable about Health and Safety regulations; assisting in the smooth running of our leisure facilities; ensuring our fitness areas are clean and safe; and going above and beyond to make sure guests leave with a smile!

So, we are looking for someone who has…

• Availability to work 39 hours per week across 5 shifts, including weekends (weekend availability is essential)
• Experience working within a Health Club, Leisure, or similar environment (ideally within a hotel environment!)
• A Level 2 Pool Lifeguard or Pool Responder qualification is essential for this role. However, training opportunities are available for suitable candidates who have not yet obtained it.
• Level 2 Fitness qualification (beneficial)
• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices, confident in maintaining a hygienic environment
