Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is hiring a part-time Concierge at Manchester Deansgate Hotel. You will be the first point of contact for guests, warmly welcoming them and assisting with luggage or special requests.

You will suggest local dining, entertainment and experiences, acting as a knowledgeable local guide with excellent communication skills, and you will collaborate closely with the reception team to ensure every guest leaves happy.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing experience in hotel or hospitality preferred.
• Ability to greet guests warmly and handle luggage or special requests.
• Strong communication skills and ability to tailor recommendations to guests.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for guests and provide a warm, authentic welcome.
• Recommend food, drinks and entertainment and act as a local guide.
• Work closely with the reception team to ensure guests depart satisfied.
• Carry out valet duties with a full UK driving licence.

As a Concierge (Part-Time, 24 hours per week), you can expect to carry out the following duties…

• Being the first point of contact for our guests (you will greet our guests with a warm and authentic Hotel Indigo welcome, supporting with any luggage or additional requirements) – it would be great if you had experience in a customer facing environment within a Hotel or Hospitality venue!
• Recommending food, drinks and entertainment for our guests(you will be a local-guide for our guests and adjust your approach to the wants and needs of each individual guest)- you will be someone who knows all the best spots in the local area and have excellent personal skills communicating with a wide range of guests!
• Working closely with our reception team(you will be motivated to ensure all of our guests all leave with a smile on their face)– a warm, authentic personality with a can-do attitude and experience of working closely in a team is essential for this role!
• A full UK-drivers license is required for this role as you will also carry out valet parking duties for our Guests’ cars.
