Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Manchester Deansgate Hotel seeks a dynamic Leisure Attendant to support guest experience in our Health Club and fitness areas.

You will answer guest queries, uphold Health and Safety standards, keep facilities clean and safe, and help guests enjoy a personal, memorable stay in the vibrant Manchester setting.

Qualifications

• Availability to work 39 hours per week across 5 shifts, including weekends.
• Experience in a Health Club, Leisure, or similar environment (ideally in a hotel).
• A Level 2 Pool Lifeguard or Pool Responder qualification is essential; training may be provided for suitable candidates.
• Level 2 Fitness qualification is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the guest experience in the Health Club by answering queries and upholding Health and Safety regulations.
• Assist in the smooth running of leisure facilities and maintain a clean, safe fitness area.

As a Leisure Attendant, your main duties and responsibilities will be supporting the overall guest experience in our Health Club through answering guest queries; being knowledgeable about Health and Safety regulations; assisting in the smooth running of our leisure facilities; ensuring our fitness areas are clean and safe; and going above and beyond to make sure guests leave with a smile!

So, we are looking for someone who has:

• Availability to work 39 hours per week across 5 shifts, including weekends (weekend availability is essential)
• Experience working within a Health Club, Leisure, or similar environment (ideally within a hotel environment!)
• A Level 2 Pool Lifeguard or Pool Responder qualification is essential for this role. However, training opportunities are available for suitable candidates who have not yet obtained it.
• Level 2 Fitness qualification (beneficial)
• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices, confident in maintaining a hygienic environment
