As leisure provision in Trowbridge evolves, Clarendon Sports Centre (currently known as Trowbridge Sports Centre) will continue to play an important role in supporting local clubs, community groups and customers. Located next to Clarendon Academy, the centre offers sports hall, gym hall and squash court facilities and will remain a key part of the town's leisure offer.

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team on a casual basis. These positions provide flexible, ad-hoc work to support the operational needs of the business, including covering periods of staff absence and periods of increased demand. Opportunities may be available during evenings and weekends.

Are you an energetic and dynamic individual who is looking for a new challenge? Consider joining us as a Leisure Assistant.

As a Leisure Assistant, you will be helping with the responsibilities and operations of the day to day running of the centre. You will be undertaking a variety of roles as required to meet operational needs, resolving customer queries and keeping the centre clean and tidy.

We are looking for an energetic individual with outstanding communication skills, driven by a strong motivation to provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work well and remain calm in high-pressure situations. An understanding of Health and Safety principles and procedures alongside general knowledge of Leisure Centre operations and activities will be essential.

As a casual worker, the council will enhance your hourly rate by 12.07% to compensate you for annual leave. You will have no fixed hours and will work on an as-needed basis, depending on Wiltshire Council's requirements and your availability. You are not obligated to be available, and the council is not obliged to offer you work.
