University of Southampton invites applications for a Lecturer in Psychology (Learning, Teaching and Scholarship). The role is permanent and full-time, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes.

A PhD in Psychology and eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society are preferred. This is a teaching-focused appointment with a strong emphasis on inclusive education.

Hours: Permanent, full time,37hours per week (1.0 FTE)

Salary: Band 6 (non-negotiable) -43,482 to48,823 per annum (pay award pending)

About the Post

We areseekingtoappointanenthusiastic, student-focused Lecturer in Psychology to contribute to the delivery and continued development of our undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes. We welcome applications from candidates who hold a PhD in Psychology or a closely related discipline and who are eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS).This is a teaching focused post.

The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality teaching,assessmentand curriculum development across a range of psychology modules. They will also supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects anddissertations andcontribute to the support and supervision of doctoral researchers. We are particularly interested in applicants who are committed to inclusive, research-informed teaching and who can contribute to the continued growth and success of our Psychology provision.

The Psychology team sits within the Department of Counselling, Psychology and Social Work, part of the vibrant School of Health, Sciences and Society. TheSchoolbrings together a dynamic and interdisciplinary portfolio of programmes, including Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, Allied Health Professions, Biomedical Sciences,Pharmacy,Wildlifeand Ecology,Nutrition, and Sport.

• You hold a PhD or equivalent and have eligibility for graduate membership of, or Chartered Status with, the British Psychological Society."
