Job summary

QA Higher Education is seeking a Psychology Lecturer to join the Manchester Psychology team. The role involves delivering engaging teaching across core Psychology subjects, contributing to curriculum development and supporting students within a BPS-aligned curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have postgraduate psychology qualifications, GBC eligibility, HE teaching experience, and a commitment to outstanding student outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in Psychology (Master's or PhD desirable).
  • Eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society.
  • Experience teaching Psychology within Higher Education.
  • Knowledge of BPS accreditation requirements and the CORE GBC curriculum.

About The Role

Psychology Lecturer

QA Higher Education is looking to appoint a Psychology Lecturer to join our Manchester-based Psychology team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a BPS-aligned Psychology curriculum and help shape the academic experience of a diverse and growing student population.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging teaching across core Psychology subjects and contribute to curriculum development, research activity, student support, and academic quality assurance. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in Biological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Individual Differences, and/or Research Methods.

About You
  • A postgraduate qualification in Psychology (Master's or PhD desirable)
  • Eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society
  • Experience teaching Psychology within Higher Education
  • Knowledge of BPS accreditation requirements and the CORE GBC curriculum
  • Strong communication, organisational and student support skills
  • A commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience

Experience teaching Research Methods and supporting laboratory-based practical work would be advantageous.
