Job summary

Wiltshire College & University Centre in Salisbury is seeking a Lecturer in Pathways (Variable Hours) to deliver inclusive Pathways programmes for learners with additional needs. The role offers flexible hours and an opportunity to balance professional commitments while making a meaningful difference.

Unqualified rate is £21.13 per hour and qualified rate is £25.34 per hour, with holiday pay. Applicants should have a Level 3+ qualification in Education or related fields and a commitment to

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inclusive Pathways programmes for learners with varied needs.
• Plan and deliver personalised learning activities to develop independence and employability.
• Support learners to achieve targets and recognised qualifications where appropriate.
• Create a positive, safe learning environment that promotes confidence and progression.
• Collaborate with support staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to maximise learner outcomes.
• Maintain safeguarding, health & safety, equality, diversity, and professional practice.

What You'll Do

• Deliver engaging and inclusive Pathways programmes that support learners with a range of educational and additional support needs
• Plan and deliver personalised learning activities that develop independence, communication, employability, life skills, and social development
• Support learners to achieve individual targets and recognised qualifications where appropriate
• Create a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment that promotes confidence and progression
• Work collaboratively with support staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to maximise learner outcomes
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, equality, diversity, and professional practice

What You'll Bring

• A relevant qualification at Level 3 or above in Education, SEND, Health & Social Care or a related subject, Supported Learning, or a related subject area
• Experience working with young people and/or adults with additional learning needs, SEND, EHCPs, or barriers to learning
• Strong communication, organisational, and learner-support skills
• A commitment to inclusive education and learner-centred approaches
• Teaching qualifications are welcomed but not essential
