Job summary

DN Colleges Group seeks a motivated Lecturer- Electrical Engineering to deliver high-quality teaching and learning, supporting students to develop essential skills for their careers. The role suits an experienced educator or industry professional transitioning into teaching.

You will plan lessons, monitor progress, maintain records and contribute to curriculum development while upholding inclusive, safe learning environments and engaging with CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications and/or substantial industry experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Willingness to work towards Level 5 teaching qualification within 18 months of employment.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional standards and ongoing CPD.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Electrical Engineering.
  • Plan and prepare engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements and learner needs.
  • Support, motivate and monitor student progress and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessment outcomes.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in course reviews, team meetings and professional development activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to enhance the student experience.

DN Colleges is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Lecturer- Electrical Engineering to deliver high-quality teaching and learning, supporting students to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to succeed in their chosen careers. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or an industry professional looking to move into teaching. You will play a key role in providing an engaging learning experience, helping students achieve their full potential while contributing to the continued success and development of the curriculum area.,

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Electrical Engineering.

    Relevant qualifications and/or substantial industry experience in Electrical Engineering.

  • A willingness to work towards and achieve a recognised teaching qualification if not already held.
  • Teaching Qualifications: Applicants are not required to hold a teaching qualification at the point of appointment. However, they must be willing to work towards and achieve a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification within the first 18 months of employment. This qualification must then be maintained through ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD). At DN Colleges Group, a recognised teaching qualification is defined as Level 5 or above.
