Job summary

Fairholme Primary School in Feltham is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Practitioner to support KS2 pupils in the classroom and in targeted interventions.

You will work with teachers and support staff to help pupils develop confidence, independence and a love of learning, with a focus on inclusion and safeguarding.

The role is part-time, term-time with INSET days, fixed-term until 31 August 2027, with hours 8:30am–3:30pm and a salary in the band £33,129–£35,109 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience of working with KS2 children.
  • Good standard of written and spoken English.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support across the classroom for KS2 pupils.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and work with individuals and small groups.

You will provide support across the classroom, work with individuals and small groups, deliver targeted interventions and help children overcome barriers to learning.

You will play an important role in helping our pupils to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning, while ensuring that every child feels valued, included and able to achieve.

  • Has proven experience of working with children in KS2
  • Is passionate about supporting children to achieve and make progress
  • Builds positive, respectful relationships with children and adults
  • Can adapt their approach to meet individual learning and SEND needs
  • Is confident supporting individuals, small groups and whole-class learning
  • Has a positive and consistent approach to behaviour
  • Is organised, proactive and able to use their initiative
  • Works well as part of a team and is committed to professional development
  • Has a good standard of written and spoken English
