Job summary

Windwhistle Primary School in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils in Key Stage 2. We welcome applicants with transferable skills and a positive mindset, whether you're already qualified or starting a career in education.

You will provide one-to-one support, deliver interventions and work with teachers and SEN professionals to help pupils develop communication, social and emotional skills. Hours: 16h15m/week, term-time only.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs.

We also welcome applications from college leavers who hold a Level 2/3 qualification in Education, Early Years, Childcare, Health and Social Care, or related subjects.

This is a varied and rewarding learning support assistant position working within key stage 2.

You will:

• Provide one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs.

Hours: 16 hours and 15 minutes per week, Monday-Friday term time only

Contract: fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027 (with potential extension subject to external funding)

Actual Salary: £10,150.05 - £11,165.56 (depending on qualifications)
