Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in a range of primary and secondary schools across Southampton that support pupils with EHCPs. The role involves supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups to access the curriculum and to support emotional regulation and social development, in collaboration with teachers and SEND professionals.

Roles are in SEND settings across Southampton with opportunities in both primary and secondary settings.

• This could include education, youth work, care work, medical settings, Camp America, sports coaching or similar roles

SEND Learning Support Assistant (Primary & Secondary)

Learning Support Assistant – SEND Schools

Southampton

£14.30 per hour

Teaching Personnel are recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in a range of primary and secondary schools across Southampton that support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

These schools cater for children and young people with a variety of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, communication needs and learning difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
• Helping students access the curriculum
• Supporting emotional regulation and social development
• Working alongside teachers and SEND professionals

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people
• This could include education, youth work, care work, medical settings, Camp America, sports coaching or similar roles
• Availability at least 4 days per week
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
