Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Basingstoke is seeking a SEND Learning Support Assistant to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in a mainstream primary school. You will provide 1:1 and classroom support, assist the class teacher with daily activities and help foster learners' academic and social development.

Start date: September/October 2026. UK experience as an LSA in primary or SEND settings is essential; a proactive, nurturing approach and strong communication skills are required.

Position: Full-time


Pay: £92.63 a day


Hours: Monday – Friday


Location: Basingstoke

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a positive impact in the classroom? An enthusiastic mainstream primary school in Basingstoke is seeking engaging and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant to support in a variety of EYFS, KS1 and KS2 year groups.


Requirements


  • UK experience as a LSA in a primary or SEND school setting is essential

  • A proactive and nurturing approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Relevant qualifications are an advantage

  • A child only DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one

  • Happy to support pupils from Reception – Year 6

  • Confident working 1:1 and in groups
