Job summary

Tameside College in Ashton-Under-Lyne is seeking a Learning Support Facilitator to support learners with a range of needs in the Aspirations department. You will work with tutors to break down barriers and help learners access the curriculum, enabling them to reach their full potential.

The role requires experience with supporting young people, motivation to work with diverse abilities, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting young people with barriers to learning (social, emotional and behavioural).
• Ability to motivate students with differing needs and abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a calm, problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with disabilities, literacy, numeracy and language needs.
• Work alongside classroom tutors to help learners access the curriculum.
• Provide emotional support and encourage participation in learning.
