Job summary

Bridge College in Openshaw, Manchester seeks a Learning Support Assistant to help students with learning needs across the curriculum, including therapy and residential activities. You will work with teachers, therapists and other staff to ensure inclusive learning and smooth transitions, while maintaining records and supporting wellbeing.

The role is term-time, 34.5 hours per week, with a pro-rated starting salary and opportunities for CPD within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young adults with additional needs who may display challenging behaviour.
• Experience supporting students with learning differences and barriers to education.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team including teachers and therapists.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to young people, removing barriers to learning.
• Contribute to planning, recording and evidencing progression.
• Support timetable delivery across contexts, including swimming and hydrotherapy.
• Maintain records using college information systems.
• Assist in planning and review processes and liaise with families.
