Protocol Education Ltd in North Bristol is seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist Resource Base in a welcoming primary school. The role supports pupils with SEND, helping learning, development, communication and wellbeing, with both full-time and part-time positions available.

You will work closely with teachers, SEND professionals and families to deliver tailored learning programmes, promote social and emotional development, and create an inclusive learning

Job description

We are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist Resource Base within a welcoming and inclusive primary school in North Bristol. We have both full-time and part-time positions available.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have a range of SEND needs, supporting their learning, development, communication and wellbeing. You will play a vital role in helping children access education, develop independence and achieve their individual goals.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored support to pupils within the Resource Base and mainstream classroom settings
  • Supporting the delivery of personalised learning programmes and interventions
  • Promoting children's social, emotional and communication development
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SEND professionals and families
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with personal care where required
About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Have professional experience working with children or young people with SEND (essential)
  • Demonstrate a patient, caring and flexible approach
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Be committed to promoting inclusion and positive outcomes for all children
  • Be able to build strong and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Remain calm, resilient and proactive in supporting children with additional needs
  • Be able to supply 2 years worth of references
  • Have an Enhanced, Child Only DBS on the Update Service, or be prepared to apply for one

Experience working with children with autism, communication and interaction needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, or complex learning needs would be advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
