Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for Additional Needs Learners. This part-time, term-time role (19.5–33 hours per week) is based at Burton upon Trent and carries a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027, reviewed for the new academic year.
You’ll be caring, adaptable and enthusiastic, with the ability to build positive relationships and support learners with SEND. Evidence of Level 2 English and Maths, or willingness to work towards it, is required.

Experience supporting individuals with SEND is a bonus but not a requirement. We’re committed to providing training and support to help you succeed in the role.
Please be aware the roles are fixed term until 31 August 2027 at which point they will be reviewed for the new academic year beginning 1 September 2027.
Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
