Job summary

Lift Bexleyheath invites applications for a Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, community-focused team. You will support learning across key stages, promote independence and inclusion, and help pupils access the curriculum.

We welcome applicants with Level 2 TA (level 3 preferred), GCSEs in Maths and English, and experience with SEND. You’ll work closely with staff and parents and have opportunities to develop professionally in a welcoming school just outside London.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred; Level 3 beneficial.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above).
• Experience supporting children in any Key Stage.
• Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with SEND.
• Understanding of child development and how children learn.
• Positive behaviour management experience.
• UK right to work – sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Improve the learning and attainment of students while promoting independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
• Supervise classroom activities.
• Support speech and language interventions.
• Support students to access the curriculum and participate in learning.
• Be a warm and friendly face to students and parents.
• Be flexible to work across any area of the school as required.
