Job summary

Ninestiles, an Academy, invites applications for a Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support for a wheelchair bound learner with an EHCP. You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure full access to learning and participation in school life.

The role requires knowledge of the education system and Level 2 English and Maths, with the Level 2 TA qualification preferred. You should demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy, good communication, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people, particularly with EHCPs.
• Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, preferably TA-level.
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training and develop skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a wheelchair-bound learner with an EHCP.
• Support teaching staff, Strategic SEND Lead and Level 3 TA to enable learning access.
• Assist with curriculum learning, assessment, and ICT-based record-keeping.
• Support behaviour management with patience, confidentiality and inclusion.
• Possibility to apply for a Level 3 TA Apprenticeship.
