Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide one-to-one mentoring and tailored learning support for young people with complex needs across homes, schools and community settings in the UK.

You will deliver creative, interest-based activities, build life skills and independence, and use trauma-informed approaches to help disengaged learners thrive. The role is flexible, self-employed, and offers in-person, hybrid or community-based sessions with ongoing rolling interviews.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience with children or young people with complex needs.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• Based in the UK with the right to work, including for remote/online work.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide 1:1 support in homes and community settings, delivering creative activities.
• Support life skills, confidence and independence with trauma-informed approaches.
• Provide feedback and reflections to track progress and adapt support.
