The post starts in September in a full-time capacity, with ongoing professional development and close collaboration with teachers and SEN teams.
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a SEMH Behaviour Intervention Assistant to work within a specialist provision in South Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting young people who require additional emotional and behavioural support to access education.
This specialist provision caters for pupils aged KS2-KS4 who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated behavioural challenges. Many students have experienced barriers to learning such as disrupted education, trauma, or difficulties engaging in mainstream environments.
The setting offers a highly supportive, structured, and nurturing environment, with small class sizes and a strong emphasis on pastoral care, emotional development, and re-engagement with learning. Staff work closely together to create a safe and consistent environment where students can thrive.
As a Behaviour Intervention Assistant, you will support students with SEMH needs by promoting positive behaviour, encouraging engagement, and helping them develop key life and emotional regulation skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
