Job summary

Hertford Regional College is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to help deliver an outstanding learner experience at the Broxbourne campus. These roles support learners with identified learning differences across departments.

The positions are part-time, 9.00am to 4.30pm, term-time only, three days per week, paid £16.00 per hour including holiday pay. Starting September 2026, temporary agency contract via HRG.

Learning Support Assistant - Part Time - Broxbourne - £16.00 per hour

We are recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to work at Hertford Regional College to help deliver an outstanding learner experience and be inspirational to students at HRC's state of art facilities in Broxbourne

About The Role

We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about enabling learners with identified learning differences to access the college environment, to include academic support, pastoral support and communication for learners to realise their potential.

We have 2 positions available, employed as a temporary agency worker via HRG, supporting Learners at the Broxbourne campus in various departments.

The roles are based on a working day of 9am to 4.30pm with a one-hour lunch break, term time only. 3 days per week.

The rate of pay is £16.00 per hour including holiday pay.

Starting September 2026, term time only on an ongoing temporary contract basis.

About You

Successful candidates will possess experience of working in learning support with SEN Learners, ideally within the FE sector. You will display excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, an enthusiasm for promoting independence for young people, a commitment to the well-being of all learners and a passion for constantly improving their learning experience.

• Enhanced DBS application - administrated by HRG but at a cost of £65.20 (unless you already hold an enhanced DBS on the update service)

• Several Online Training Modules sent out to you as stipulated by HRC
