Hertford Regional College is seeking an English Lecturer for a temporary, part-time position across the Nazeing, Broxbourne and Ware campuses. The role involves delivering GCSE English Language and Functional Skills from September 2026, with sessions on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings and afternoons.

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting learners in developing their knowledge, practical skills and to deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills at the Nazeing, Broxbourne and Ware Campuses from September 2026.
You will be employed as a Temporary Agency Worker via HRG on assignment to HRC.
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration; Ongoing throughout academic year 26/27, Term Time only
Successful candidates will display a passion for teaching and enjoy interacting and engaging with students. You will work collaboratively with colleagues whilst using your own initiative. You will have a minimum Level 3 Teaching Qualification or relevant Teacher Training, great interpersonal and organisation skills and be able to demonstrate previous teaching experience, delivering GCSE English, ideally with the FE sector. You will be a great team-player with that enjoys finding solutions. Experience of teaching functional skills in addition to GCSE level would be a considerable advantage.
