Job summary

Laidlaw Schools Trust is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work in partnership with teaching staff to help students overcome barriers to learning. You will provide one-to-one or group support, in a nurturing, inclusive environment, with a strong focus on safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Job description

The Learning Support Assistant will work in partnership with teaching staff to support students in overcoming barriers to learning. They will work directly with students, providing one to one or group support as required.

If you have experience as a Learning Support Assistant or similar role then this could be the role for you. We would also welcome interest from candidates who are considering teaching as a career, and who would like to gain some experience within a classroom setting, The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their commitment to children's safeguarding. All successful appointments will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a range of other pre-employment recruitment checks.
