Aspiring to support learners, Aspire People is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a welcoming secondary school in Northampton. You will work one-to-one and in small groups to help students engage with learning and overcome barriers, alongside teachers and pastoral staff.

Ideal candidates are patient, resilient and committed to inclusive education, building positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries to support pupil welfare.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a secondary school setting.
  • Patient, approachable and supportive.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Commitment to inclusion and helping every student succeed.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from staff.

Job description

The Role
