Job description

Learning Support Assistant

Location: Liskeard

Contract: Full time

Payment: GBP88.94 per day

GSL Education is working with Special Needs and Mainstream schools in Liskeard that are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team.

You will help students become as independent as possible, encourage their development, and assist with vital life skills. Responsibilities include supporting children and young people with daily personal care needs such as changing, toileting, and dressing.

Who we are looking for:

We seek compassionate, patient Teaching Assistants with an adaptable approach, a great sense of humour, and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

YOU MUST HAVE A UK DRIVING LICENSE AND YOUR OWN CAR FOR THIS ROLE.

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with SEND (professional or personal)
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with children and families
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting children with additional needs
• A collaborative approach working alongside teachers, parents, and professionals
• Availability to start ASAP on a full-time basis
