TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Basildon Primary School that is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment. The Learning Support Assistant will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with Autism, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence.

This long-term role offers an immediate start with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, in a nurturing school with a supportive leadership team and ongoing PDP.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Autism / ASD in a UK Primary School setting.
• A patient, caring and positive approach to supporting learning.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with Autism / ASD, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support learning and inclusion.

Salary: £95 - £110 per day

The school is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant on a long-term basis with the opportunity to become permanent for the right Learning Support Assistant. The successful Learning Support Assistant will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Key Stage 1 pupil with Autism / ASD, helping them access the curriculum, develop confidence and achieve positive learning outcomes while working closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
