  • Encouraging positive behaviour, social interaction and independence.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support professionals.
  • Creating a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring pupils' progress and providing feedback to the class teacher.

ASD Learning Support Assistant – Graduates Welcome

Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available

Pay: £88-£100 per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Perhaps you are a graduate looking to begin a career in education, psychology, SEN or teaching, or you already have experience supporting individuals with additional needs.

Supply Desk are currently recruiting for a Specialist ASD Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive specialist school in the Basingstoke area from September 2026. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of pupils with autism and additional learning needs.

You will work closely with pupils to help them access learning, develop communication skills, build confidence and achieve greater independence within a structured and nurturing school environment.

Previous school experience is desirable but not essential, as training and ongoing support will be provided.

The Role

Minimum Requirements
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with ASD and additional needs

  • A willingness to learn and undertake relevant training
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with ASD is desirable but not essential
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain a new one
