Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Hartlepool, UK
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Temporary to Permanent opportunities available

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a thriving secondary school in Hartlepool. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a strong desire to make a difference in young people's lives and gain valuable experience in education.

Role Overview:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with teachers to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students access the curriculum
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable nature
  • A good understanding of SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Suitable references covering the last two years
