Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a primary behaviour provision in Aberdare that supports pupils with SEMH needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive learning environment to help pupils engage with education and develop social and emotional skills.

The role is a temporary position from ASAP until Christmas, supporting primary-aged pupils with SEMH and helping to manage behaviour and engagement throughout the school day.

Salary: £90 per day

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting primary-aged pupils?

Do you have experience working with children with SEMH and challenging behaviour?

Are you resilient, patient and able to build positive relationships with pupils who require additional support?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary behaviour provision in Aberdare that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive learning environment, helping pupils to engage positively with their education and develop their social and emotional skills.

The provision is looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant on a temporary basis from ASAP until Christmas. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support primary-aged pupils with SEMH, helping to manage challenging behaviour, encourage engagement with learning and provide consistent support throughout the school day.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with primary-aged pupils
• Experience supporting children with SEMH and challenging behaviour
• Strong behaviour management skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• A patient and resilient approach
• A positive and adaptable attitude
