Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Bristol. The role supports pupils across Key Stage 2, assisting class teachers with learning activities and fostering positive behaviour in a welcoming classroom environment.

The successful candidate will have KS2 experience, a sound grasp of the Primary Curriculum, and strong communication skills to engage with pupils and staff. On-site role with ongoing CPD opportunities and supportive onboarding.

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £14.25-£15.50 per hour

The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide day-to-day support across Key Stage 2 / KS2. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning, encourage positive behaviour and help create an engaging classroom environment.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting
• Experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 2 / KS2
• A good understanding of the Primary Curriculum
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning
• Adaptability and excellent classroom management skills
