Salary: £14.25 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in the Vale of Glamorgan who are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. The school is seeking a supportive and engaging individual who can help create a positive, safe and encouraging environment for a child with Autism / ASD.

The school is looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant on a long-term, part-time basis, working mornings/half days to provide dedicated 1:1 support. The successful Learning Support Assistant will prioritise the child's safety during learning, build a strong and trusting relationship, and use creative, out-of-the-box approaches to encourage engagement and progress.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children with ALN
• Experience supporting Autism / ASD is highly desirable
• Experience providing effective 1:1 support
• A patient and resilient approach
• A creative mindset with the ability to engage children through imaginative conversation and learning
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting children's individual needs
