Job summary

AMA Admin is seeking a friendly Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school in Chesterfield. You will support pupils across EYFS to KS2, delivering one-to-one and small group interventions and working with the class teacher to adapt activities.

This long-term, term-time role offers competitive daily pay of £107.71–£117, with ongoing CPD and consulant support throughout your placement.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting.
• Is patient, caring and passionate about supporting children's learning.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative.
• Has a flexible and proactive approach to supporting pupils.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs.
• Knowledge of phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Experience delivering literacy and numeracy interventions.
