About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to start or continue their careers in education, motivated to inspire and support pupils. You will work with individual and small groups, prepare classrooms and materials, and foster positive relationships to promote learning and interaction.

Experience in an SEN/ASC environment is desirable but not essential; qualities such as excellent support skills, resilience, and motivation are equally important. This role is suitable for individuals from customer-facing industries seeking meaningful work that makes a real difference.

Qualifications required include GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English. Candidates should be calm, engaging, resilient, team-oriented, and genuinely motivated to help pupils reach their potential.

About Us

This role is based in Lichfield, within commuting distance of Cannock, Burton upon Trent, and surrounding areas.

Part of Outcomes First Group, Acorn Education is the UK’s leading provider of specialist education, setting new standards in the sector with measurable outcomes. In 2024, we were recognized as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the fifth consecutive year.

Benefits

We offer an exceptional rewards package, including:

  • Life Assurance
  • Pension scheme with contribution options
  • Access to mental health support and health checks

And through our Flexible Benefits Platform, Vista, you can select benefits such as:

  • Health, wellbeing, and insurance benefits
  • Discount options in the UK and abroad
  • Cycle to Work Schemes
  • Electric Car Purchase Scheme
  • Critical illness cover
  • Family Growth Support, including enhanced maternity/paternity leave and fertility treatment support

Most importantly, your work will have a meaningful impact on pupils’ lives, contributing to building their futures.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare. All applicants will undergo social media checks and a fully enhanced DBS.

We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applications.

*You’ll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, providing more personal time. The 4DWW is subject to successful probation and is not a contractual benefit.
