Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Continuous Improvement & Automation Lead within our Learning & Development function to drive operational excellence, streamline processes and identify automation opportunities that enhance the learning experience across the UK and US.

The role is hybrid with bases at Eakring, Tipton, Taunton or Warwick. Regular travel between sites is expected, and a job requirement company car is included as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience leading continuous improvement programmes.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies.
• Experience identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

Responsibilities

• Leading continuous improvement initiatives across Learning & Development.
• Identifying, designing and implementing process improvements that improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Driving the adoption of automation technologies and digital solutions.
• Using data and insights to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement activities to support change initiatives.
• Establishing governance, metrics and reporting to measure improvement outcomes.
• Embedding a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the function.
• Collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver sustainable improvements.
