Job summary

National Grid plc is seeking a Continuous Improvement & Automation Lead to drive operational excellence across Learning & Development. You will streamline processes, champion Lean methodologies and implement automation to enhance efficiency and scalability across UK and US sites.

The role is hybrid and based from multiple sites including Taunton, with regular travel between National Grid sites and a company car included in the package.

Qualifications

• Experience leading continuous improvement programmes.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies.
• Experience identifying and implementing automation opportunities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Experience using data to drive decisions and improvements.
• Experience in Learning & Development, HR or complex corporate environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across Learning & Development.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and customer experience.
• Drive adoption of automation technologies and digital solutions.
• Use data to spot trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement to support change.
• Establish governance, metrics and reporting to measure outcomes.
