Job summary

Brookvale Primary School invites applications for a Learning Mentor to support pupils on a targeted basis. You will help individuals and small groups overcome barriers to learning and build confidence in the classroom.

Join a caring, collaborative team dedicated to inclusive education, professional development, and improving student outcomes. The role focuses on relationships, wellbeing and enabling pupils to engage and progress throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Is caring, enthusiastic and committed to supporting children and young people.
• Has experience of working with children in an educational, pastoral or similar setting.

• Has a good understanding of barriers to learning, wellbeing and engagement.

Job description

Brookvale Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and committed Learning Mentor to join our dedicated and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to children’s lives and supporting them to overcome barriers to learning. As a Learning Mentor, you will play an important role in helping pupils to develop positive relationships, build confidence and resilience, and become increasingly independent. You will provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups, helping children to engage positively with their learning and feel confident within the school environment. Working closely with teachers, families and other professionals, you will contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and able to achieve their potential.
