Job summary

VOCAL is seeking a proactive Learning and Development Officer to design, coordinate and deliver accessible training for staff and volunteers in Edinburgh. You will help shape a broad learning agenda, maintain records and liaise with external providers to ensure high-quality programmes.

You will work closely with the management team to identify development needs, create engaging e-learning content (Articulate 360) where appropriate, and monitor training outcomes while supporting continuous

• Experience in a similar L&D role with measurable impact.
• Ability to create accessible learning activities and content.
• Experience with e-learning platforms such as Articulate 360.
• Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.

Responsibilities

• support senior staff to identify learning approaches within agreed organisational priorities
• facilitate and coordinate induction, mandatory and role-specific training across the organisation
• identify and manage relationships with external providers
• develop and update learning materials (including e-learning modules)
• maintain training records and monitoring training compliance; producing reports
• support training needs analysis and skills audits
• participate in organisational working groups and initiatives
