Job summary

VOCAL is a carer-led organisation in Edinburgh and Midlothian seeking a Learning and Development Officer to facilitate, coordinate and contribute to high-quality learning opportunities for staff and volunteers. The role is hands-on and newly created, working with the Senior Management Team to shape development across the organisation.

You will coordinate training, maintain learning records and help develop engaging learning resources, while supporting ongoing workforce development to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.
• Ability to identify learning needs and develop effective learning materials.
• Excellent facilitation, communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate induction, mandatory and role-specific training across the organisation.
• Develop and update learning materials, including e-learning modules.
• Maintain training records, monitor compliance, and evaluate learning outcomes.
• Produce reports and analysis as required.
• Support training needs analysis and skills audits.
