Job summary

Park Aspire AP Academy, part of Exceed Academies Trust, seeks a dedicated Learning & Behaviour Assistant to support pupils with SEMH, SEND and behavioural needs, helping them engage in school life.

You will work closely with teachers, monitor progress, assist in planning learning activities, and contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing across the academy.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people.
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and/or behavioural needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of behaviour management approaches.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Ability to remain calm, professional and solution-focused in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with teachers, senior leaders and other professionals to support pupil progress.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of learning activities.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil achievement and behavioural development.
• Support pupils with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs.
• Contribute to safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing across the academy.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, positive and supportive learning environment.
