Job summary

Park Aspire AP Academy, part of Exceed Academies Trust, is seeking a Learning & Behaviour Assistant to support pupils with SEMH, SEND and behavioural needs across KS1–KS3. The role involves delivering strategies, building positive relationships and promoting a safe, inclusive learning environment.

You will work with teachers and specialists to plan activities, monitor progress and contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people.
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and/or behavioural needs.
• Knowledge of behaviour management approaches.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in overcoming learning and behavioural barriers.
• Deliver behaviour management strategies and interventions.
• Build positive relationships that promote confidence, resilience and self-esteem.
• Work closely with teachers and leaders to support pupil progress.
• Assist with planning and delivery of learning activities.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil achievement and behavioural development.
• Support pupils with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs.
• Contribute to safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing across the academy.
